Rapid
Response Monitoring employees are not just trained for
ideal conditions: We prepare our Control Center Specialists,
Support Representatives and Specialists and back office
staff are trained to face the worst circumstances that
can arise. Rapid Response devotes a great deal of time
and resources to equipping each team member with the
skills to handle crisis situations.
Part
of that training includes early action and analyzing
conditions for the onset of waves of activity and adverse
conditions. To keep our staff ahead of the wave,
more
than a dozen 37" flat panel monitors are positioned
throughout the facility broadcasting The Weather Channel
for advance notice on adverse conditions that may impact
alarm activity. In the Monitoring Center, seven of
these
monitors are constantly tuned to CNN, the Weather Channel
and our own alarm queues, displaying conditions and
scanning
for potential crisis activity. Custom software (developed
in-house) prioritizes critical signal activity and
ensures
that the workload is distributed to the Control Center
Specialists quickly and efficiently for split second
call and signal processing.
