Alarm
Permit and Fire Alarm Permit:
these boxes are for those municipalities that require
alarm systems to be registerd in order to benefit from
central station dispatches. These are obtained through
the municipality, and are supplied to Rapid Response
by the Dealer.
Communicator
Make and Model: these entries allow us to provide
trouble shooting assistance to the customer. It also
aids us in making sure that panel will communicate with
that specific receiver; but his is normally established
when account blocks and receiver lines are assigned.
Default:
the default is the set of zone instructions and other
"common" information that will be shared by accounts
entered into the database with that default. Please
contact Customer Service with any concerns or questions
with the default.
Attached
Riders: if there is a need for these forms to be
included with the Alarm Monitoring Agreement, please
check the box, so that Data Entry and Document Management
can be sure that all information and forms associated
with the account are accounted for.
Phone
Numbers Connected to Communicator: this is usually
the residence telephone number for residential accounts;
although a residence may have a dedicated to the alarm
communicator. Commercial accounts may also have a dedicated
line to the communicator.

The
Notification list is reserved for those individuals
who are going to be contacted in the event of an alarm
activation. Using the descriptions, such as "B" for
beeper, helps the processing operator when making notification
calls, since there may just be an ack signal for the
operator to enter a numeric message.
In
the case of work numbers, if a person has an extension,
please provide that, as all information provided is
an aid during processing activities.

The
Alarm Condition Response Options field is also referred
to as "Zone Descriptions," since this is the basic purpose
of this field. There are three (3) basic components
needed: Zone, Description, and the boxes for Dipatch
and Verify. The Format Type entry in the first section
of the Agreement, helps determine how the account is
entered into the database.
Zone
and Description : these entries are linked together,
as described below:
SIA and Contact I.D. : for these formats, automation
will look for the zone 001, and match it with the description
"Front Door."
3x1,
4x2, 4x1, Radionics : for these formats, we must
"tell" automation how to handle the signals. The 2nd
example shows how an account sending 4x2 would be entered.
Data Entry must enter the zone in the conversion screen
as a "Code 2 from Zone 2." The signal is then converted
to a Zone 22, with the description,"Keypad Panic."
Dispatch
and Verify boxes : these boxes determine what actions
the operator will take. In the first example, the operator
will call the premises to verify the alarm; if a passcode
is not received, the operator is then instructed to
dispatch. The second example would direct the operator
to dispatch immediately, since the No under Verify is
checked. The third is an example of a supervisory condition,
where dispatch is not required, but noitification of
the signal must take place.
Should
you require more than the sixteen (16) alotted zone
fileds, please submit the Additional Zone Rider
(example shown at the end of this section), and check
the box under "Attached Riders" on the Monitoring Agreement.
Any
questions regarding how signals are translated by automation,
how signals are to be acted on, or other can concerns
can be addressed to Customer Service.

The
passcode(s) for the account are entered here. This field
contains three (3) elements: Name, A.L. (Authority Level),
and Passcode.
Name
: the name of the individual. If a passcode is being
shared, list that as "All Users." If requested, you
can list Users individually.
Authority Level : limits the features individuals
are authorized to enact. Please refer to the Authority
Level List of access features.
Passcode : the passcode can be an alpha-numeric
stream limited to twelve (12) characters. We frown on
common words such as love, blue, or Jesus. The more
unique the passcode, the less likely someone can guess
it.
Should
you require more spaces for passcodes than the six (6)
alotted on the Agreement, the Additional Passcode
Rider (example shown at the end of this section),
allows for an additional 24 Users. Please be sure to
check the "Additional Passcode Rider" box under "Attached
Riders" on the Monitoring Agreement.

The
final section of the Agreement is usually completed
at installation. The Dealer, Technician, or Sales Representative
signs under "Dealer Representative," and your customer
signs under "Subscriber." The "Approved" line is reserved
for your Customer Service Represntative who will proofread
the original Agreement, sign it, return all copies except
the top white copy, and will print out a copy of the
account(s) for you to review and keep on file. This
ensures we have complete information, and provides the
opportunity for the data to be reviewed three times:
the initial proof by the Customer Service Rep; the proof
by the Customer Service Rep of the original; and the
review by yourself of the returned printout of the account.
